WE CAN's signature event since 2005, A Day of Words, Wit and Wisdom is a day of energy, excitement and emotion. It's a rare opportunity to gather with the acclaimed authors who will join us and inspire with stories of courage, humor, generosity and love.

W3 2024 is a day you will not want to miss.

WE CAN supports and guides Cape Cod women to build pathways to stability and self-sufficiency in their lives. WE CAN serves more than 2,100 women each year across Cape Cod with free and confidential legal services, employment and business support, financial empowerment, mentoring, and personal development programs. More than 60% of our participants access more than one service at WE CAN.

With a small staff, our work is made possible through the commitment and dedication of 250 active volunteers, including volunteer attorneys, employment specialists and financial professionals, and a community of individual donors, businesses and private foundations who generously support the organization through annual gifts, monthly sustaining support, grants and event sponsorship. A Day of Words, Wit and Wisdom ("W3") is one of WE CAN's major fundraising events and significant source of funding to support our programs and services.

W3 is set at the gorgeous Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, MA. We begin the day with a delicious and bountiful breakfast and opportunities to purchase the books of the authors you will be hearing from. Next our program begins with introduction by a new Emcee and acclaimed author, to be announced! Each of our three featured authors will speak on their journey, their book, and our theme of Found Family. Then, we will take a brief break and come back to hear the inspiring stories of three WE CAN participants. A brief Q and A panel with the authors and the opportunity to ask your own questions will follow. This inspiring day will wrap up with our presentation of WE CAN's 2024 Women of the Year award.
